There's a reason why I love exploring 'off piste'(when it's safe to do so) in any city I visit, because this is where you'll come across so many interesting finds that are rarely mentioned in guide books.

My friend Antoine and I took a detour on our way to Surrey Hills and found a place that sells beautifully made furniture by Zev Bianchi. As Zev states on his website, he creates environmentally sound, space saving, Bamboo & stainless steel furniture and custom products with uncompromising style and quality.

His chair and stool caught my attention, smooth, curvaceous and beautifully finished. The workmanship is superb. It was tough leaving it behind, but I can't afford the excess baggage rate!
