Leisure Day of Culture

Nov 30 2015
Working in the arts, everyday is a day of culture, but I've been looking forward to my Leisure Day of Culture for a few weeks. No work, just leisurely soaking up the things that I love; Design and Theatre.

My first port of call was the Design Museum. I volunteered to be part of the visitor forum for the new museum in Kensington. I was part of a nice intimate group and it was enlightening talking about what we would want to see in the new museum and design in general. As a result, I now have free entry for the next 3 months! Can't wait for the new museum (https://designmuseum.org/about-the-museum/design-museum-kensington).

I then made my first ever visit to Cockpit Arts. I can't believe I have never been before. I have to say I was rather jealous of the great spaces the designers had. It did leave me very inspired and I'm looking forward to visit the Deptford spaces on Sunday.

Finally I completed my day at the National Theatre. I love it there, had the pleasure of working there too. But tonight it was all about my sister and her performance in Here We Go by Caryl Churchill. I couldn't be prouder!
